Michael worked on film sets in NYC and the Mid-Atlantic before attending VCUarts Cinema program in his hometown of Richmond, VA. After graduating Cinema, Michael worked all over the country in camera department, production, and casting on films and television shows for Paramount, HBO, Focus Features, Netflix, Sony Pictures, AMC, Picturehouse, ABC, and Amazon. At 28, Michael directed his first feature film, The King of Crimes, which was nationally distributed by PBS. Michael has also partnered with educational theaters, camps, and artistic groups to help raise the next generation of filmmakers. Michael now splits his time filming and directing a diverse range of projects in the US. He is currently working on a civil rights documentary set to be completed in 2022.
